Langnauerörgeli (= Diatonic Accordion), born 1836* in Langnau in the Emmental: Various harp makers/Harfner and Langnauerörgeli creators have been building the so-called Langnouerli for almost 200 years. The best-known single-row, 2‑chord Härpfli with 3 basses captivates with its manageability and its special sound.

Musically and visually, this wild troupe from London seems to have sprung from an early 20th Century travelling show, the charismatic front man from a Terry Gilliam movie. Their show is like sitting on a small boat in the stormy sea. No land in sight, party ahoy!

Play along and/or listen! // Langnauerörgeli (= Diatonic Accordion), born 1836* in Langnau in the Emmental: Various harp makers/“Harfner” and Langnauerörgeli creators have been building the so-called “Langnouerli” for almost 200 years. The best-known single-row, 2‑chord “Härpfli” with 3 basses captivates with its manageability and its special sound.
Washed up with the Aare, incubated by the summer heat, two tyrannus cubs recently hatched from two oversized eggs in Eichholz. Now the baby dinosaurs have found their way into the Old Town. Roaring and hungry, they roam Bern’s alleys. Keep your distance recommended!

Einer von Irland, einer von England. Seit 15 Jahren diskutieren und spielen sie zusammen – ein musikalischer Friedensprozess: von Irisch und Englisch Trad über Rock bis Punk mit einer feinen Auswahl von Eigenkompositionen. In a heartbeat from Folk to Floyd!
Sein Ziel: die Frauenwelt beeindrucken. Seine Voraussetzungen: perfekt – er hat alles, was man dazu braucht: einen Schnauz, fancy Kleidung und das Wichtigste: ein cooles Auto. Leider geht ziemlich alles schief – Feuer hier, unkontrollierbare Hupgeräusche da und Rauch überall… Erobert er seine Herzdame?
Eines Tages wird der griesgrämige, geldgierige Don Cristobal aus seiner Routine gerissen: Eine Frau stürzt ihn in Liebesnöte und Kinderprobleme. Die preisgekrönte Produktion setzt auf Satire, Tempo und Livemusik. Kasperli bitterbös!
Violinen, Hörner, ein Käpt’n und ein Händler begleiten den reisenden Vogelmann. Musik ist sein Atem, Tanz seine Sprache und Interaktion seine Begabung: Wo immer die kurlig-bunte, musizierende Truppe auftaucht, saugt sie das Publikum in ihre faszinierende Welt hinein.
Augenzwinkernd zieht sich die Liebelei des bärenstarken Tollpatschs und der strengen Grazie durch die Tango- und Balletteinlage und endet schliesslich in einer fulminanten Hand-auf-Hand Nummer. Die zwei gegensätzlichen Figuren harmonieren perfekt – Gravitation ade!
Bedächtig zieht der weitgereiste Clochard Dirk mit seinem ganzen Hab und Gut bepackt durch die Gassen. Ab und an beglückt er mit einem Drehorgelspiel. Spätestens wenn er seine Hand nach etwas Münz ausstreckt, wird klar – irgendwie stimmt da was nicht…
Schule im Affenland: Logisch gelten dort andere Regeln als in den Schulen, die wir kennen. Zum Beispiel lernt man dort Bananen essen. Wer am hässlichsten isst, bekommt die beste Note. Willkommen im Schlar-Affen-Land!
Forró verwandelt die behäbigen Berner Gassen in heisse Strandpromenaden von Fortaleza oder Recife — ein brasilianisches Tanz- und Musikfest! Gemixt mit Latin Jazz, Swing, Samba, Cumbia und Milonga wird die Show zur explosiven Latin-Sause erster Güte — a gozar!
Ein echter Cowboy holt seine Fritten nicht im Pappkarton, er schiesst sie selber! Ziel mit der Pommes-Kanone auf das mit Pianosaiten bespannte Gitter — zerstückelt fällt die Kartoffel direkt in die Fritteuse und wird gebruzzelt: ultra-fresh, high velocity chips!
„Hikohki Gumo“ (japanisch: Kondensstreifen). Ein weisser Stock tanzt und fliegt, zerteilt sausend den Raum. Zu zwölft zusammengeschnürt oder ins Gewandgesteckt, schaukeln die Stäbe beinahe schwerelos. Ein Balanceakt, circensische Erfindung alter Tradition.
Die abgelegene Inselwelt vor Westafrika ist die Wiege der melancholischen Morna, der schnellen, tanzbaren Coladeira oder des überschwänglichen Funaná. Gabriela bringt das reiche Spektrum der traditionellen kapverdischen Musik auf Berns Strassen — saudade e alegria!

Die kontrolliert chaotische Show des talentierten Komikers — bekannt vom Buskers 2015, „Garaghty & Thom“ — ist gespickt mit schwarzem Humor und hervorragender Improvisation inkl. Zirkustricks: Er beansprucht alles und jede/n, so wie es ihm gerade passt.
Obwohl der Flame nie Baumwolle pflückte, klingen seine Geschichten nach Weite, Schmerz und Hoffnung: „In a world of plastic and virtuality, people want real things“. Eine authentische, emotionale und hochenergetische One Man Band — Balsam für Blues-Seelen.
Die irisch-internationale Band ‘Hot Club of Dublin’ reanimieren den Elan des ‘The Jazz Age Tango’, der in den frühen 1930er Jahren den Geist des ‘Hot Club de France’ geprägt hat.

Mezze, Retsina & Ouzo, parakaló! In den 1920ern brachten Flüchtlinge den Smyrneïka aus den orientalischen Cafés von Izmir/Smyrna nach Athen, wo er auf die Lieder der dortigen Subkultur, den Rebétika, traf. Athmosphärisch dicht, authentisch, modern interpretiert — Weltklasse!
Always protected by their gâpettes (berets), with their “chansons muzouches”, this quintet mixes styles from musette, manouche and rock. Profound and enthusiastic lyrics right from a Breton bistro – un hommage plein d’énergie à l’humanité.
Vom Rotlichtmilieu in Lima inspiriert, verkörpern die mechanisch angetriebenen Grumildos mythische, moralfreie Wesen. Saufend, sich paarend und tanzend bevölkern die Aussenseiter ein begehbares Miniatur-Universum. Liebevoll-grotesk und eindrücklich.

Gefangen in ihren Gewohnheiten dümpeln die schrägen Charakteren in ihren trostlos modernen Wohnungen vor sich hin, bis sie schliesslich auf gewalttätige Weise von ihren Obsessionen befreit werden. „A puppet theory for the human nothing“ — höchst beeindruckend!
Aufgewachsen in einer senegalesischen Griot-Familie wurde Mory mit Musik, Gesang und Tanz getränkt. Beim Weitergeben der Geschichten mit Ngoni, Trommeln und Gesang unterstützt ihn nun seine hochkarätige Band. Herz & Sinne öffnen, Hüfte kreisen und Freude teilen!
