We are truly, deeply grateful. Without a doubt, it was one of the best festivals we have ever been part of.

Everything was excellent, in every way: The organization was spectacular, and it was wonderful to see the passion with which you do your work. The working conditions were great, the performances went wonderfully, and the audience response was amazing.

After the festival, we stayed on for a few days to enjoy this beautiful city. Everything was just fantastic.

So, we have nothing but words of gratitude. We only wish we could have a festival like this every weekend 😜.

We had such an amazing time with this completely new concept for us. We knew it was going to be a great experience, but honestly, it exceeded our expectations by far. It was such a beautiful festival, where everything flowed so naturally, with so much respect, warmth, and sincerity throughout. It was an incredible adventure: 9 concerts and one bal in just three days, great swims in die Aare, and fantastic team spirit ! A special shout-out to our sound engineer, Mathieu, for rising to the technical challenge — setting up and tearing down in record time (30 minutes) while delivering top-notch sound!! Thanks to our enthusiastic and generous audiences and to the whole festival team and volunteers

È stata un’esperienza incredibile! L’organizzazione ha pensato davvero a ogni dettaglio e la direzione artistica ha fatto la scelta coraggiosa di ingaggiarci nonostante non avessimo mai suonato prima e non avessimo ancora materiale da mostrare.

Il pubblico è stato numerosissimo, caloroso e generoso, e ci ha fatto sentire accolti fin dal primo momento.

Non vediamo l’ora di tornare. Grazie di cuore per questa bellissima esperienza!

Der gröbste Rauch des Schulanfangs hat sich verzogen, und ich will dir jetzt noch im Namen von Irma Krebs inkl. Hutfrau und Techniker von Herzen danken. Es hat uns enormen Spass gemacht, am Buskers zu spielen und ich hoffe, ihr seid finanziell doch noch einigermassen rausgekommen mit den Bändeli. 

Leider ist uns das Souvenir zwüschenaben gefallen, aber wir habens nicht vergessen und reichen es über Bidu und Melinda noch nach.

Vielen Dank für die wahnsinnig tolle Organisation, dafür, dass ihr uns gebucht habt und für die herzliche Betreuung. Wir haben uns bei euch rundum wohl und bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Ein riesiges Kompliment an das ganze Team!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit, wahnsinnig tolle Konzerte, wunderbare Begegnungen und ein grossartiges Publikum. Besonders berührt haben uns auch die vielen tollen und wirklich persönlichen Rückmeldungen, die wir bekommen haben. 

Für uns war das eine sehr tolle Erfahrung, und wir sind sehr dankbar, dass wir ein Teil davon sein durften. Wir schätzen eure Arbeit sehr – nicht nur für uns als Band, sondern auch für die gesamte Kulturszene. Was ihr da auf die Beine stellt und welchen Raum ihr für Musik und Begegnungen schafft, ist alles andere als selbstverständlich.

Wir würden sehr, sehr gerne wiederkommen und hoffen natürlich, dass sich irgendwann wieder eine Gelegenheit ergibt.

A little belated — we’ve been recovering from a HUGE weekend, hiding out in a tiny Airbnb in the French countryside…

But what an incredible time we had at the 23rd Buskers Bern Festival! Our very first busking festival, in the beautiful city of Bern, alongside 140 artists from 25 nations!

A massive thank you to Christine, Julia and the whole Buskers Bern team for having us. The organisers, volunteers and audiences were all legendary and made us feel incredibly welcome.

And to everyone who came to our shows — THANK YOU! You packed them out, generously filled our hat, bought us completely out of CDs, and brought such brilliant energy every time we played.

And a special shout-out to the crowd at our final set, when our PA failed, Julian broke a string AND his guitar strap fell off — leaving us to finish semi-acoustic! Thanks for sticking with us through the technical chaos and seeing us through to the end.

We’re tired, sore, inspired… and very grateful. What a weekend! Bern, you were a blast!

Wir wollten uns noch bei dir und bei dem ganzen Buskers Team bedanken. Wir haben die drei Tage extrem genossen und es hat sehr viel Spass gemacht zu spielen. Es war alles hervorragend organisiert und wir konnten es kaum fassen, wie reibungslos alles gegangen ist – und das bei 142 Acts, 30 Bühnen, 300 Konzerten in 3 Tagen! Das ist nicht selbstverständlich, also ein riesiges Kompliment!!

Herzlichen, herzlichen Dank für alles!!! Wir würden uns freuen, in Zukunft wieder mal bei euch am Buskers spielen zu dürfen und werden sicher auch als Besucher:innen wieder mal kommen!

You and your entire team have been absolutely amazing, making our time at the festival not only a great experience of art and work, but also a beautiful moment of connection, sharing, and togetherness.

Danke für deine Mail, das ist schön zu hören.
Für uns war das Buskers eine sehr schöne Erfahrung. 
Wir waren echt beeindruckt, wie gut alles organisiert ist. Das Essen war super, was für so viele Personen nicht selbstverständlich ist. Es hat alles reibungslos geklappt, alle waren immer super freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Ich fand es vor allem toll, wie passend die Locations den Acts zugeteilt wurden. Für uns haben alle Spielorte super gepasst, es gab kleinere und grössere ​„Bühnen“, aber alles in einem Rahmen, der für uns gut bis perfekt war.
Man merkt wirklich, wie unglaublich gut ihr euer Festival kennt, und dass es euch, wie du sagst, ein echtes Anliegen ist, Kultur auf bestmögliche Art zu den Leuten zu bringen. Dank der guten Organisation war das ganze Festival viel weniger anstrengend, als ich erwartet hätte.

Danke, macht ihr das Buskers nach so langer Zeit immer noch mit einer so grossen Begeisterung und Leidenschaft!

I just wanted to thank you. Not only for this time, (which was a blast, a real tornado of happiness) but also for taking a chance on us 9 years ago. Having been at Buskers Bern in 2016 was a career, if not life changing experience for us. We realised that performing on the street really was what we mostly loved. Coming back was just so amazing! I hope you get some rest, it must be quite a marathon to get the festival to run like a swiss train. You should all be proud of making this wonderful, colourful, joyful experience year after year!

Hi Christine, this is just a little message of appreciation. I can’t thank you enough for having me over to perform with the band. I have been touring with some of the biggest dance shows on the planet for the last 4 years I can safely say the hospitality you extended to me whilst I stayed in Bern is the best I have ever received throughout my professional career. Ich bin jedes Mal zutiefst beeindruckt und berührt über dieses friedliche Zusammenzreffen von so vielen Menschen und v.a. von so grossartigen Künstlerinnen und Künstler. Das Kulinarik Angebot ist vielfältig und ein Genuss. Die Gesamtorganisation ist bewundernswert. Es ist perfekt.

Ich bin begeistert.

Es ist jedes Mal ein riesig schönes Erlebnis und für mich ein Highlight jedes Jahr.

Ich hoffe sehr, dass diejenigen, die kein Bändeli kaufen, zu realisieren beginnen, was da alles dahinter steckt und ihre Wertschätzung mit dem freiwilligen Kauf eines Bändeli zeigen. Ich fand es sehr gut, habt ihr mit dem Verkauf mehr Präsenz gezeigt und die Leute direkt angesprochen.

Nochmals vielen Dank! Die Daten vom 2026 habe ich mir bereits in der Agenda eingetragen.

Einmal mehr bin ich beeindruckt vom Buskers Bern zurückgekehrt. Es ist schon gewaltig, was ihr jedes Jahr auf die Beine stellt! Es hat uns gefreut, dass Claudia Masika und ihre Band ihren Teil zum guten Gelingen beitragen konnten: alle ihre Shows waren rappelvoll und das glückliche Publikum konnte nicht genug von ihren «good vibes» bekommen. Danke für die Einladung!

Schön auch, dass das Berner Buskers trotz des Riesenerfolgs eine durch und durch sympathische Veranstaltung geblieben ist, die viel menschliche Wärme ausstrahlt. Ihr bewältigt eine enorme Organisation, ohne in Perfektionismus abzudriften. Und doch klappt meistens alles aufs beste. So habt ihr den Goodwill sowohl vom Publikum als auch von den Künstler*innen.

It was so lovely to be back, we made loads of friends and had some more unforgettable experiences. When we had a spare minute during the festival, we would often remark at how amazing it was to see such a beautiful city made even more beautiful thanks to you, the team, the people of Bern and all of the amazing artists you’ve gathered on your travels.
From an artistic standpoint, Bern was so valuable to us. We got to workshop the live show in a completely unique way, tweaking our performances and forcing us to get better. It has also brought our team, which I feel is already quite strong, even closer together and sparked so many ideas and ambitions.

Once again thank you for organizing one of the most beautiful events on one of the most beautiful places I ever been (and I’ve being around 😅)

I love Bern so much that if I could I think I would live there.

Für uns war das Buskers eine sehr gut Erfahrung. Wir waren im Vornherein bisschen skeptisch. Ich war nicht sicher, ob ich die ganz Rumschlepperei und die vielen Shows Nongoma zumuten kann. Ängste bezüglich Wetter und damit zusammenhängend schlechten Einahmen hatte ich ebenfalls. Am Ende war es für uns nebst anderem auch ein finanzieller Erfolg und wir konnten viele CDs verkaufen. Alles war super organisiert, und wir schätzten das grosszügige Brunch Buffet sehr. Es war super für uns, so viele Menschen erreichen zu können. Dass Luc von Lo & Leduc eine CD von uns gekauft hat und Antonio Schiavano an eine Show kam, war ein artistisches Highlight für uns. Ausserdem sind wir jetzt viel schneller im Auf- und Abbauen von unserem Equipment, was auch cool ist :)

Vielen Dank für den Abstecher in ​“dein Königreich”. Da ich seit 40 Jahren selber (mit bis zu 100 Veranstaltungen im Jahr) Veranstalter bin, weiss ich, was du (ihr) da geleistet hast (habt). Das war das bestorganisierte Festival meiner Zeit in dem Geschäft (…)

(…) Die Auftritte im Innenhof der bsd und im Erlacherhof waren natürlich die Höhepunkte für uns. Da liessen sich die Besuchenden wegen der konzertanten Atmosphäre eher auf Tony’s Musik ein und signalisierten fast immer Begeisterung. Dass ich auch noch beim gefühlten, musikalischen Höhepunkt meiner Bassistenkarriere das schwarzgoldene 20 Jahre-Buskers-T-Shirt und goldene Schule dazu anhatte, war ein passender, unglaublicher Zufall. (…)

(…) So habe ich mir den Sommer mit 46 Auftritten zugepackt. Bern war am schönsten!

Kurze Rückmeldung: TOLL, TOLL einfach TOLL!!!! Was ihr da leistet! Wir sind begeistert, auch vom diesjährigen Buskers und WOW, 20 Jahre! Die Stadt ist in einer so suprigen Stimmung, alles (was wir um uns herum sahen) war friedlich, zufriedene Gesichter bei Künstler:innen und Pubikum, so vielfältig das Programm, die Essstände genau richtig verteilt, alle, wirklich alle freundlich und aufgestellt… 

So etwas in dieser oft traurigen Welt auf die Beine zu stellen ist grossartig! Ich/​wir haben nur die grössten Lobesworte für euch!

Bitte lasst euch nicht durch Neider oder frustrierte Kommentarschreiber:nnen runterziehen – da ist nichts gerechtfertigt! Heute können wir leider nicht dabeisein – aber nächstes Jahr bestimmt wieder. Geniesst es heute, wenn ihr dazu kommt, und seid stolz auf das, was ihr bewirkt!

Thank you for all the lovely birthday messages. I spent half the day in the company of my great friend Tom Greder and his son Elmo and then he drove me to Buskers Bern in Switzerland where I was treated to cake and a very warm welcome. It’s a massive three day festival, one of the best of its kind and I feel very lucky to be here.

Dear Ms. Wyss,
It was great. I managed to get a group of 10 to 15 people on Thursday Friday. Few of us went to Buskerhaus as well. Ayom had great performance. On Saturday also the band groups were nice.
Best show was the Comedy Acrobatic show at the Munsterplatz. Also the Havana Acrobatic show was cool.
I think the Baskery band was quite entertaining. And the 🦕 were quite funny.
We all were so happy. And greatly looking forward to next year.

Ich, 63 Jahre alt bin mit meiner erwachsenen Tochter zum ersten Mal ans Buskers Bern gereist, von Basel aus.
Es hat alle unsere Erwartungen getopt!
Sensationell was ihr zu Stande gebracht hat!
Eine so tolle Stimmung durch alle Gassen und Bühnen, hatten sogar die Chance in Javier Arandas Fingertheater reinzukommen, grossartig.
Auch die Hairstyling- und Schminkstände, eine unglaubliche Aufwertung des herkömmlichen Outfits!
Erfahren durch den World Music Spezial, Radio SRF, erkannte ich auch einige Bands und dufte sie jetzt live erleben, fantastisch!
Ein riesiges Dankeschön.

es waren wieder wunderbare Tage bzw. Nächte – danke war es möglich,
auch mit nur einem Einsatz dabei zu sein.

Ich liebe mein «Jöbbli» am Infostand und es macht Spass, die Gäste
von nah und fern zu motivieren, ein Bändeli zu erstehen, wenn das
Programm so wahnsinnig vielfältig, bezaubernd, heiter,
glückseeligkeitstiftend, herzerwärmend, tanzbein‑, rockend und
swingend, atemstillstandgefährdend und lachmuskelstrapazierend ist.

Merci habt ihr alle es möglich gemacht, dass die schönsten drei Tage
in der Stadt Bern wieder für alle erlebbar waren.

P.S.: das Solibändeli ist so was von gut!!!!! Und die Bühne im
Nydegghof ist so gut, dass es kaum vorstellbar ist, dass es sie mal
nicht gab.

Buskers 2022 war super und gehört für mich zu den Top Events im Bern wie die Streetparade zu Zürich!Frage: mich würde es interessieren, wie die Abfallbilanz aussieht. Das Konzept mit dem Depotgeld für Becher und Teller war super! Es wäre doch wichtig aufzuzeigen, dass Grossanlässe nicht zwingendermassen Riesenabfallberge (wie Streetparade) hinterlassen.

This festival is something beyond incredible. We attended the festival now the second year in a row and we are once again amazed. The atmosphere, the music, the city, the river, the organisation, the system, the food, the parties, the venues. But most of all – the people, the people, the people. So much integrity, so much talent, so much warmth, so much professionalism, so much diversity, so much creativity, so much love, so much so much so much. Our hearts are filled with all of this and as artists we want to give a HUUUGE shout out for the Buskers Bern festival organisers and encourage all the festivals, big and small, to get inspired by what they do and how well they manage it. Thank you all the amazing fellow artists, the organisers, the staff, the audience and the volunteers.

Liebes Buskers Bern ! wir wollten auch nochmal DANKE sagen: danke für diese tolle Erfahrungen und die intensive Zeit, die wir dank euch in den schönen Gassen von Bern erleben durften, egal ob im strömenden Regen, an einer der größten Touri-Ecken der Schweizer Hauptstadt, vor euren wunderschönen Dom oder direkt bei eurem Rathaus! jede musikalische Kundgebung unserseits war ein Trip, eine Herausforderung und ein wahnsinnig schönes nachhaltiges Erlebnis – was wir schon allein daran merken das zwei Wochen nach dem Geschehen diese Zeilen hier zu schreiben uns erscheinen als wäre es vor fünf Minuten gewesen – Daaanke natürlich auch an Ilana Walker für den technischen Support – du bist eh die geilste aber das weißt du ohne Übertreibung auch !!! und danke auch an Julien Tschülls Honegger, Magda Lena Bienert, Matilda SMART und alle die spontanen anderen Helfer für den Einsammlungssupport

What an amazing experience at the Buskers Bern festival!
We had a wonderful 3 days dancing and singing with people in the streets, We met great artists and bands from all over the world all together in a beautiful city called Bern, the energy was amazing in the city with people smiling everywhere.
Great hospitality from the organization of the festival, and of course the river was incredible.
Don’t hesitate to visit the festival next year, and stay tuned to hear all about our coming concerts and tours.

Eine letzte Gute-Nacht-Geschichte von der Echse in der Brunngasse und das wundervolle Buskers Bern schließt für dieses Jahr die Tore. Was für ein tolles Festival und eine grandiose Organisation. 10 concerts de rue en 3 jours! C’était trop cool, merci à tous les Bernois et un immense merci au Buskers Bern et à tous les autres super artistes qu’on a pu croiser dans ce rues (et merci Julien Uribe tu fais un boulot tout à fait formidablement exceptionnel parait!)

Wooooooaaaaah we have quite literally had some of the most epic shows to date at Buskers Bern. This is one of 4 sections of the crowd at our cathedral pitch last night.
4 shows this evening, the final being in the Buskers house at 3am. Bring all of your energy …

It’s been a month now that we left Bern and we are still feeling the energy of the festival!!! We want you to know that we’ve been to amazing places and venues around Europe, but the Buskers Bern experience is one of our favorite ever!!
We had one of the best times of our lives, we made new friends from all over the world and we admired how all your team and volunteers work together to give this amazing result. It was an honor for us to play there and work with your fantastic team and along with all these wonderful artists!
Congratulations to all of you and thank you for you hospitality and your energy. This is definitely not the last you’ll hear from us!
A big hug to all of you and our best wishes!!!

die ganze truppe und ich haben noch nie ein so intensives, abenteuerliches und einfach schönes wochenende erlebt, wie am BUSKERS. danke für dein vertrauen, deinen support und euer unglaubliches engagement!
ihr beschert mir seit 11 jahren die drei schönsten tage an meinem lieblingsort und nun durfte meine band sogar ein teil davon sein, ich bin immer noch geflaaaaaasht!

I would like to congratulate you and your whole staff for the wonderful experience Buskers Bern became for me.
Next to the very nice financial part & cd sales, this festival will linger in my memory as one of the most extraordinary venues I ever played. I am very happy that you and your sister were crazy enough to start this endeavour and after 11 years still know how to infect all volunteers & musicians with your enthusiasm. This is very special. May the light of Buskers Bern shine for many years into the future.

Thank you so much for that very great time at Buskers Bern.
Unfortunately we had to leave early morning yesterday without saying goodbye (I guess everybody was still sleeping). Today we start at the Boulevard Festival here in the Netherlands.
I now understand the Busker way of collecting money…and It was really special to see how this works in Zwitserland. We wish you a very good and healthy summer and thank you for your great hospitality.
