We are truly, deeply grate­ful. Without a doubt, it was one of the best festi­vals we have ever been part of.

Every­thing was excellent, in every way:
The orga­ni­za­tion was spec­ta­cu­lar, and it was wonder­ful to see the passion with which you do your work. The working condi­tions were great, the perfor­mances went wonder­ful­ly, and the audience response was amazing.

After the festi­val, we stayed on for a few days to enjoy this beau­ti­ful city. Every­thing was just fantastic.

So, we have nothing but words of grati­tude. We only wish we could have a festi­val like this every weekend 😜.

A special shout-out to our sound engi­neer, Mathieu, for rising to the tech­ni­cal chal­lenge — setting up and tearing down in record time (30 minutes) while deli­ve­ring top-notch sound!! Thanks to our enthu­sias­tic and gene­rous audiences and to the whole festi­val team and volunteers

Ich wollte mich noch­mals bei euch melden und mich – auch im Namen der ganzen Band comet – von ganzem Herzen für dieses wunder­bare Woche­nende bedanken.

Vielen Dank für die wahn­sin­nig tolle Orga­ni­sa­tion, dafür, dass ihr uns gebucht habt und für die herz­liche Betreuung. Wir haben uns bei euch rundum wohl und bestens aufge­ho­ben gefühlt. Ein riesiges Kompli­ment an das ganze Team!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit, wahn­sin­nig tolle Konzerte, wunder­bare Bege­gnun­gen und ein gros­sar­tiges Publi­kum. Beson­ders berührt haben uns auch die vielen tollen und wirk­lich persön­li­chen Rück­mel­dun­gen, die wir bekom­men haben. 

Für uns war das eine sehr tolle Erfah­rung, und wir sind sehr dank­bar, dass wir ein Teil davon sein durf­ten. Wir schät­zen eure Arbeit sehr – nicht nur für uns als Band, sondern auch für die gesamte Kulturs­zene. Was ihr da auf die Beine stellt und welchen Raum ihr für Musik und Bege­gnun­gen schafft, ist alles andere als selbstverständlich.

Wir würden sehr, sehr gerne wieder­kom­men und hoffen natür­lich, dass sich irgend­wann wieder eine Gele­gen­heit ergibt.

We got back home late this after­noon! We left early this morning, so unfor­tu­na­te­ly we didn’t get the chance to see each other before leaving, but I real­ly wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this wonder­ful experience.

You and your entire team have been abso­lu­te­ly amazing, making our time at the festi­val not only a great expe­rience of art and work, but also a beau­ti­ful moment of connec­tion, sharing, and togetherness.

A little bela­ted — we’ve been reco­ve­ring from a HUGE weekend, hiding out in a tiny Airbnb in the French countryside…

But what an incre­dible time we had at the 23rd Buskers Bern Festi­val! Our very first busking festi­val, in the beau­ti­ful city of Bern, along­side 140 artists from 25 nations!

A massive thank you to Chris­tine, Julia and the whole Buskers Bern team for having us. The orga­ni­sers, volun­teers and audiences were all legen­da­ry and made us feel incre­di­bly welcome.

And to everyone who came to our shows — THANK YOU! You packed them out, gene­rous­ly filled our hat, bought us comple­te­ly out of CDs, and brought such brilliant ener­gy every time we played.

And a special shout-out to the crowd at our final set, when our PA failed, Julian broke a string AND his guitar strap fell off — leaving us to finish semi-acous­tic! Thanks for sticking with us through the tech­ni­cal chaos and seeing us through to the end.

We’re tired, sore, inspi­red… and very grate­ful. What a weekend! Bern, you were a blast!

Wir woll­ten uns noch bei dir und bei dem ganzen Buskers Team bedan­ken. Wir haben die drei Tage extrem genos­sen und es hat sehr viel Spass gemacht zu spie­len. Es war alles hervor­ra­gend orga­ni­siert und wir konn­ten es kaum fassen, wie reibung­slos alles gegan­gen ist – und das bei 142 Acts, 30 Bühnen, 300 Konzer­ten in 3 Tagen! Das ist nicht selbst­verständ­lich, also ein riesiges Kompliment!!

Herz­li­chen, herz­li­chen Dank für alles!!! Wir würden uns freuen, in Zukunft wieder mal bei euch am Buskers spie­len zu dürfen und werden sicher auch als Besucher:innen wieder mal kommen!

Danke für deine Mail, das ist schön zu hören.
Für uns war das Buskers eine sehr schöne Erfah­rung. 
Wir waren echt beein­druckt, wie gut alles orga­ni­siert ist. Das Essen war super, was für so viele Perso­nen nicht selbst­verständ­lich ist. Es hat alles reibung­slos geklappt, alle waren immer super freund­lich und hilf­sbe­reit.
Ich fand es vor allem toll, wie passend die Loca­tions den Acts zuge­teilt wurden. Für uns haben alle Spie­lorte super gepasst, es gab klei­nere und grös­sere ​„Bühnen“, aber alles in einem Rahmen, der für uns gut bis perfekt war.
Man merkt wirk­lich, wie unglau­blich gut ihr euer Festi­val kennt, und dass es euch, wie du sagst, ein echtes Anlie­gen ist, Kultur auf bestmö­gliche Art zu den Leuten zu brin­gen. Dank der guten Orga­ni­sa­tion war das ganze Festi­val viel weni­ger anstren­gend, als ich erwar­tet hätte.

Danke, macht ihr das Buskers nach so langer Zeit immer noch mit einer so gros­sen Begeis­te­rung und Leiden­schaft!

I just wanted to thank you. Not only for this time, (which was a blast, a real torna­do of happi­ness) but also for taking a chance on us 9 years ago. Having been at Buskers Bern in 2016 was a career, if not life chan­ging expe­rience for us. We reali­sed that perfor­ming on the street real­ly was what we most­ly loved. Coming back was just so amazing! I hope you get some rest, it must be quite a mara­thon to get the festi­val to run like a swiss train. You should all be proud of making this wonder­ful, colour­ful, joyful expe­rience year after year!

Between the trans­fers, to the food to every­thing in between it was so well orga­ni­sed. Ich bin jedes Mal zutief­st beein­druckt und berührt über dieses fried­liche Zusam­menz­ref­fen von so vielen Menschen und v.a. von so gros­sar­ti­gen Künst­le­rin­nen und Künst­ler. Das Kuli­na­rik Ange­bot ist vielfäl­tig und ein Genuss. Die Gesam­tor­ga­ni­sa­tion ist bewun­derns­wert. Es ist perfekt.

Ich bin begeistert.

Es ist jedes Mal ein riesig schönes Erleb­nis und für mich ein High­light jedes Jahr.

Ich hoffe sehr, dass dieje­ni­gen, die kein Bände­li kaufen, zu reali­sie­ren begin­nen, was da alles dahin­ter steckt und ihre Wert­schät­zung mit dem frei­willi­gen Kauf eines Bände­li zeigen. Ich fand es sehr gut, habt ihr mit dem Verkauf mehr Präsenz gezeigt und die Leute direkt angesprochen.

Noch­mals vielen Dank! Die Daten vom 2026 habe ich mir bereits in der Agen­da eingetragen.

Es hat uns gefreut, dass Clau­dia Masi­ka und ihre Band ihren Teil zum guten Gelin­gen beitra­gen konn­ten: alle ihre Shows waren rappel­voll und das glück­liche Publi­kum konnte nicht genug von ihren «good vibes» bekom­men. Danke für die Einladung!

Schön auch, dass das Berner Buskers trotz des Riese­ner­folgs eine durch und durch sympa­thische Verans­tal­tung geblie­ben ist, die viel menschliche Wärme auss­trahlt. Ihr bewäl­tigt eine enorme Orga­ni­sa­tion, ohne in Perfek­tio­nis­mus abzu­drif­ten. Und doch klappt meis­tens alles aufs beste. So habt ihr den Good­will sowohl vom Publi­kum als auch von den Künstler*innen.

I’m not sure what Marcel wrote, but we were so happy to see him at the festi­val! He came to 2 sets and danced at maxi­mum ener­gy for both!! It’s love­ly to know we have friends and suppor­ters in Bern. Our newest friend is an artist called Nathan who lives in the old town. He ended up backs­tage with us at the Buske­rhaus and I’m alrea­dy wonde­ring how we might be able to colla­bo­rate.

I’m sure you have a flood of messages like this at this time, but well done!!! Well done to you, Julie, Stefan, Illa­na, Felix and all of the Buskers fami­ly for pulling it off again!! It was so love­ly to be back, we made loads of friends and had some more unfor­get­table expe­riences. When we had a spare minute during the festi­val, we would often remark at how amazing it was to see such a beau­ti­ful city made even more beau­ti­ful thanks to you, the team, the people of Bern and all of the amazing artists you’ve gathe­red on your travels.

From an artis­tic stand­point, Bern was so valuable to us. We got to work­shop the live show in a comple­te­ly unique way, twea­king our perfor­mances and forcing us to get better. It has also brought our team, which I feel is alrea­dy quite strong, even closer toge­ther and spar­ked so many ideas and ambi­tions.

I know the rule is that you only get to come twice, but one way or another we will be back, either as festi­val enjoyers or under a new name.…we’ll find a way!!!

For now, I wish you and the team a well deser­ved rest once all of the final bits and pieces are wrap­ped up, and I hope to see you either in London, Swit­zer­land or another beau­ti­ful place somew­here in the world.

Für uns war das Buskers eine sehr gut Erfah­rung. Wir waren im Vorn­he­rein bisschen skep­tisch. Ich war nicht sicher, ob ich die ganze Rumschlep­pe­rei und die vielen Shows Nongo­ma zumu­ten kann. Ängste bezü­glich Wetter und damit zusam­menhän­gend schlech­ten Einnah­men hatte ich eben­falls. Am Ende war es für uns nebst ande­rem auch ein finan­ziel­ler Erfolg und wir konn­ten viele CDs verkau­fen. Alles war super orga­ni­siert, und wir schätz­ten das grosszü­gige Brunch Buffet sehr. Es war super für uns, so viele Menschen errei­chen zu können. Dass Luc von Lo & Leduc eine CD von uns gekauft hat und Anto­nio Schia­va­no an eine Show kam, war ein artis­tisches High­light für uns. Ausser­dem sind wir jetzt viel schnel­ler im Auf- und Abbauen von unse­rem Equip­ment, was auch cool ist :).

Vielen Dank für die Mögli­ch­keit und das Vertrauen.

(…) Die Auftritte im Innen­hof der bsd und im Erla­che­rhof waren natür­lich die Höhe­punkte für uns. Da lies­sen sich die Besu­chen­den wegen der konzer­tan­ten Atmos­phäre eher auf Tony’s Musik ein und signa­li­sier­ten fast immer Begeis­te­rung. Dass ich auch noch beim gefühl­ten, musi­ka­li­schen Höhe­punkt meiner Bassis­ten­kar­riere das schwarz­gol­dene 20 Jahre-Buskers-T-Shirt und goldene Schule dazu anhatte, war ein passen­der, unglau­bli­cher Zufall. (…)

(…) So habe ich mir den Sommer mit 46 Auftrit­ten zuge­packt. Bern war am schönsten!

I had a great time playing, disco­ve­ring Bern, liste­ning and meeting other artists, and also let’s admit it, one of the best income I ever had in my musi­cian career 🙂.

Kurze Rück­mel­dung: TOLL, TOLL einfach TOLL!!!! Was ihr da leis­tet! Wir sind begeis­tert, auch vom dies­jäh­ri­gen Buskers und WOW, 20 Jahre! Die Stadt ist in einer so supri­gen Stim­mung, alles (was wir um uns herum sahen) war fried­lich, zufrie­dene Gesich­ter bei Künstler:innen und Pubi­kum, so vielfäl­tig das Programm, die Essstände genau rich­tig verteilt, alle, wirk­lich alle freund­lich und aufgestellt… 

So etwas in dieser oft trau­ri­gen Welt auf die Beine zu stel­len ist gros­sar­tig! Ich/​wir haben nur die gröss­ten Lobes­worte für euch!

Thanks to Buskers Bern for a great festi­val, a top team, great and enthu­sias­tic crowds and a wonder­ful atmos­phere – tiptop (as the Swiss use to say, haha)!

Un petit mail pour te remer­cier encore infi­ni­ment du travail que tu as accom­pli, toi et les autres pour ce merveilleux festival.

Thank you for all the love­ly birth­day messages. I spent half the day in the compa­ny of my great friend Tom Greder and his son Elmo and then he drove me to Buskers Bern in Swit­zer­land where I was trea­ted to cake and had a very warm welcome. It’s a massive three day festi­val, one of the best of its kind and I feel very lucky to be here.

Es war der abso­lute Hammer dieses wunder­bare Festi­val! Es war für mich ein abso­lutes Somme­rhigh­light-Festi­val! Vielen lieben Dank für alles! Ich hatte gut Muskel­ka­ter nach­her, meine Arme sind durch die Pflas­ter­steine gut durch­gerüt­telt, aber es hat so Spass gemacht bei Buskers Bern zu spie­len! Ich hatte eine gros­sar­tige Zeit! Es war wunder­barst orga­ni­siert und alles hat prima geklappt! Vielen herz­li­chen Dank für die schöne Zeit, die ich bei euch hatte!

Jele­na meinte am Tele­fon heute, dass es wirk­lich die bestmö­gliche Trga­ni­sa­tion für ein Festi­val-Format dieser Art war.

Und ich schließe mich als Agen­tur abso­lut an, was die Vorbe­rei­tun­gen und deine Kommu­ni­ka­tion betrifft.

Und eine Verans­tal­te­rin kam auch auf Jele­na zu (Frauens­tim­men Festi­val) und war inter­es­siert sie einzu­la­den. Mal sehen, ob daraus was wird… bitte Daumen halten 😉.

It was great. I mana­ged to get a group of 10 to 15 people on Thurs­day Friday. Few of us went to Buske­rhaus as well. Ayom had great perfor­mance. On Satur­day also the band groups were nice. 
Best show was the Come­dy Acro­ba­tic show at the Muns­ter­platz. Also the Hava­na Acro­ba­tic show was cool. 
I think the Baske­ry band was quite enter­tai­ning. And the 🦕 were quite funny. 
We all were so happy. And great­ly looking forward to next year.

Ich, 63 Jahre alt, bin mit meiner erwach­se­nen Toch­ter zum ersten Mal ans Buskers Bern gereist, von Basel aus.
Es hat alle unsere Erwar­tun­gen getopt! Sensa­tio­nell was ihr zu Stande gebracht habt! Eine so tolle Stim­mung durch alle Gassen und Bühnen, hatten sogar die Chance in Javier Aran­das Finger­thea­ter rein­zu­kom­men, gros­sar­tig. Auch die Hairs­ty­ling- und Schminkstände, eine unglau­bliche Aufwer­tung des herkömm­li­chen Outfits! Erfah­ren durch den World Music Spezial, Radio SRF, erkannte ich auch einige Bands und durfte sie jetzt live erle­ben, fantas­tisch!

Ich liebe mein «Jöbbli» am Infos­tand und es macht Spass, die Gäste
von nah und fern zu moti­vie­ren, ein Bände­li zu erste­hen, wenn das
Programm so wahn­sin­nig vielfäl­tig, bezau­bernd, heiter, glück­see­lig­keits­tif­tend, herzerwär­mend, tanz­bein­sch­win­gend, rockend und
swin­gend, atem­still­stand­gefähr­dend und lach­mus­kel­stra­pa­zie­rend ist.

Merci habt ihr alle es möglich gemacht, dass die schöns­ten drei Tage in der Stadt Bern wieder für alle erleb­bar waren.

P.S.: das Solibän­de­li ist so was von gut!!!!! Und die Bühne im Nydeg­ghof ist so gut, dass es kaum vors­tell­bar ist, dass es sie mal
nicht gab.

I have retur­ned now from my vaca­tion and Javier has told me that the Buskers Bern has been a wonder­ful expe­rience for Héctor and himself.
The recep­tion of the public was extra­or­di­na­ry, as well as the team welco­ming and the atmos­phere of the Festi­val.
So just thank all the staff who have worked hard to get this off the ground.

Thanks for every­thing!! It was wonder­ful as usual!! We left the gift with Julia and also left the fishing net for upco­ming artists.

Buskers 2022 war super und gehört für mich zu den Top Events in Bern wie die Street­pa­rade zu Zürich! Frage: Mich würde es inter­es­sie­ren, wie die Abfall­bi­lanz aussieht. Das Konzept mit dem Depot­geld für Becher und Teller war super! Es wäre doch wich­tig aufzu­zei­gen, dass Gros­sanlässe nicht zwin­gen­der­mas­sen Riese­nab­fall­berge (wie Street­pa­rade) hinter­las­sen.

The atmos­phere, the music, the city, the river, the orga­ni­sa­tion, the system, the food, the parties, the venues. But most of all – the people, the people, the people. So much inte­gri­ty, so much talent, so much warmth, so much profes­sio­na­lism, so much diver­si­ty, so much crea­ti­vi­ty, so much love, so much so much so much. Our hearts are filled with all of this and as artists we want to give a HUUUGE shout out for the Buskers Bern festi­val orga­ni­sers and encou­rage all the festi­vals, big and small, to get inspi­red by what they do and how well they manage it. We had wonder­ful 3 days of dancing and singing with people in the streets, we met great artists and bands from all over the world all toge­ther in a beau­ti­ful city called Bern, the ener­gy was amazing in the city with people smiling everyw­here.
Great hospi­ta­li­ty from the orga­ni­za­tion of the festi­val, and of course the river was incre­dible.
Don’t hesi­tate to visit the festi­val next year, and stay tuned to hear all about our coming concerts and tours.

10 concerts de rue en 3 jours! C’était trop cool, merci à tous les Bernois et un immense merci au Buskers Bern et à tous les autres super artistes qu’on a pu croi­ser dans ce rues (et merci Julien Uribe tu fais un boulot tout à fait formi­da­ble­ment excep­tion­nel parait!)

It’s been a month now that we left Bern and we are still feeling the ener­gy of the festi­val!!! We want you to know that we’ve been to amazing places and venues around Europe, but the Buskers Bern expe­rience is one of our favo­rite ever!!
We had one of the best times of our lives, we made new friends from all over the world and we admi­red how all your team and volun­teers work toge­ther to give this amazing result. It was an honor for us to play there and work with your fantas­tic team and along with all these wonder­ful artists!
Congra­tu­la­tions to all of you and thank you for you hospi­ta­li­ty and your ener­gy. This is defi­ni­te­ly not the last you’ll hear from us!

Next to the very nice finan­cial part & cd sales, this festi­val will linger in my memo­ry as one of the most extra­or­di­na­ry venues I ever played. I am very happy that you and your sister were crazy enough to start this endea­vour and after 11 years still know how to infect all volun­teers & musi­cians with your enthu­siasm. This is very special. May the light of Buskers Bern shine for many years into the future.

Unfor­tu­na­te­ly we had to leave early morning yester­day without saying good­bye (I guess every­bo­dy was still slee­ping). Today we start at the Boule­vard Festi­val here in the Nether­lands.
I now unders­tand the Busker way of collec­ting money…and It was real­ly special to see how this works in Zwit­ser­land. We wish you a very good and heal­thy summer and thank you for your great hospitality.
