We can't wait!
We’re looking so much forward to meeting you in 3 – 4 days – woohoo! Right now, we’re building all up. Many, many people working like hell day and night at the end of the 4th heat wave in Bern’s Old City installing all the electricity, fences, cables, stages, lights, booths etc. etc.
Sweet treats for YOU, «cherries on top» (check our visual…), from Stefan, Julia, Christine, Melinda & all the BB-Team
Weather Forecast for Bern City
Weather looks absolutely fab, warm and dry but no heat wave any more – wow, how lucky we are after this summer with already 4 heat waves! We feel very humble and grateful, it makes things so much easier…
Politics & Awareness
We are a strictly cultural Festival and try to avoid political statements of any kind – our festival is the statement itself.
We all stand for the universal values of PEACE, FREEDOM, HUMANITY and DIVERSITY which we would like to share and celebrate together. We kindly ask you to avoid political statements, political symbols like flags etc. on stage. Thank you for that.
Our Awareness Guideline:
Be Aware – Be Attentive: Take Care of Yourself and Others
We are glad that you are here and that you are supporting us and celebrating with us – welcome!
Together, we are responsible for ensuring that everyone at the Festival feels comfortable and can move light-heartedly. Each person decides for themselves where their individual boundaries lie – we accept these.
Discriminatory behaviour of any kind has no place here.
If you experience or observe discriminatory behaviour which goes beyond personal boundaries, please come to the Festival Office (Schlachthaus, Rathausgasse 20).
We look forward to partying with you.
River Aare
Our legendary River Aare embraces the Old Town in all its glory! It is warm like it has never been and very low. Perfect for good swimmers and Aare beginners (and veterans…)! BTW: In Bern everybody constantly talks about the Aare (temperature, colour, level,…), like Italians always talk about food…haha.
Swimming in the River is a MUST for all the good (!) swimmers and is deadly beautiful, don’t miss it! But be very careful if you are not used to swimming in rivers. It is only recommended for good swimmers (3−4 people drown every year, mostly people from abroad…)!
So, don’t forget to bring your swim wear. Just beside the brunch place, Friday and Saturday noon, there it is, our precious pearl of energy giving river Aare, and there is also our famous public swimming pool Marzili, for free.
